Overland Park man charged with sex crimes in Douglas County after allegedly providing alcohol to 16-year-old girl

An Overland Park man has been charged with multiple sex crimes in Douglas County District Court in connection with a 16-year-old girl to whom he allegedly provided alcohol.

The man, Wyatt Farrow, 21, faces one felony count each of aggravated criminal sodomy, aggravated sexual battery, and providing alcohol to a minor with the intent to commit a crime, and one misdemeanor count of hosting minors consuming alcohol, according to charging documents.

The charges are in connection with an incident on Feb. 19, 2022. The incident was reported to police around 5:45 p.m. on the day the incident is alleged to have occurred, according to Lawrence police records. Farrow was arrested on the charge at 8:30 p.m. Thursday, according to the jail booking log.

Also charged in connection with the same incident is Anthony Steven Farrow, of Lawrence, who faces one misdemeanor count each of hosting minors consuming alcohol and furnishing alcohol to a minor. Anthony has not been arrested in connection with the charge but, according to court records, a summons has been issued to his Lawrence address and he is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 18.

Wyatt Farrow is being held on a $50,000 cash or surety bond. He is scheduled to appear in court Friday afternoon.
