Lawrence man charged with attempted murder for allegedly waiting for man to return home with intent to kill

A Lawrence man was arrested Wednesday and has been charged in Douglas County District Court with attempted murder after he allegedly waited for another man to return home with the intent to kill him.
The man, Logan Akicitan Martin, 24, faces one felony count of attempted first-degree murder, according to charging documents. The charge is in connection with an incident on Sept. 25.
The incident was reported to police just after 4 a.m. on Sept. 26 in the 300 block of Maine Street and was listed in the Lawrence police incident report as a criminal threat.
Martin was booked into the Douglas County Jail at 4:40 p.m. Wednesday after being arrested on a warrant by Douglas County sheriff’s deputies.
Martin is being held on a $75,000 cash or surety bond and is scheduled to appear in court Thursday afternoon.
