Wichita woman seriously injured in accident on K-10

A Wichita woman was seriously injured in an accident late Tuesday afternoon on Kansas Highway 10 north of Sixth Street, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred about a mile and a half north of the Sixth Street exit. According to an online crash log from the Highway Patrol, 21-year-old Kaysiaunah White, of Wichita, was heading east in a Chevrolet Cruze, and the vehicle crossed the center line and hit an oncoming semitrailer. Both vehicles then went into the ditch.

The crash log said White was taken to a hospital with a suspected serious injury. The driver of the semitrailer was not hurt.
