A Lawrence woman was one of two people hospitalized following a head-on collision early Saturday on Interstate 435 in Lenexa.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol online crash logs, the crash occurred about 12:20 a.m. Saturday on I-435 just east of the Interstate 35 interchange when Toure L. Biggins, 40, of Lenexa, was driving a 2010 Buick eastbound in a westbound lane of the freeway and collided head on with a 2018 Volkswagen passenger car driven by Sarah E. Morrison, 32, of Lawrence. Both suffered suspected serious injuries; Biggins was taken to the University of Kansas hospital, and Morrison was taken to Overland Park Regional Medical Center.
