A Lawrence man has been charged with trading child pornography.

The man, Rich Anthony Dibenedetto, 30, has been charged in Douglas County District Court with one count of exploitation of a child by possessing a photograph of a child in the nude and one count of internet trading in child pornography, both felonies, according to charging documents. The incident is alleged to have occurred on Oct. 25, 2021.

Dibenedetto was arrested in connection with the charges around 9:45 a.m. Saturday at his home. He was later released on a $10,000 bond, according to the jail booking log. He is next scheduled to appear in court on July 25.
