The Lawrence Police Department has issued a “silver alert” as it is seeking the public’s assistance in finding a 73-year-old man who has been missing since Dec. 11.

Police are looking for Jerry Dean Adams. Adams, a Lawrence resident, hasn’t been heard from since Dec. 11. He is believed to be driving a white, 2002 Chevrolet full-size van with Kansas license plates of 008MFS.

His van was seen leaving Lawrence around 9:15 a.m. on Dec. 11.

Anyone with information on the location of Adams or his vehicle is asked to call 911.
