A Lawrence man has been charged in Douglas County District Court with indecent liberties with a teenager for an incident that occurred 10 years ago.

The man, Scott Wayne Waisner, 56, faces one felony count of aggravated indecent liberties with a child for intercourse with a person between the ages of 14 and 16, according to charging documents. The incident is alleged to have occurred in September of 2013.

Waisner was arrested in connection with the charge around 5 a.m. Monday by Douglas County sheriff’s deputies and was released later that day on a $15,000 surety bond, according to the jail booking log. He is next scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 10 for a status conference.
