Minnesota man faces two counts of rape in Douglas County

A Minnesota man has been charged with rape in connection with a 2021 incident in Douglas County.
The man, Thomas J. Cormier, 21, of Maple Grove, Minnesota, was charged with two counts of rape of a 21-year-old for an incident that allegedly occurred on Oct. 20, 2021, according charging documents in the case.
Cormier was arrested around 9 a.m Thursday by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, according to the jail booking log. He was released later that day on a $75,000 bond.
Cormier has a bond appearance set for 3 p.m. on April 13.
No other details were immediately available. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office declined to release Cormier’s booking photo.
