Kansas City man charged with rape in connection with 2021 Douglas County incident

A Kansas City, Kansas, man has been charged with rape in a 2021 Douglas County case.

The man, Marlon G. Clark Jr., 19, has been charged with one count of rape of an 18-year-old in connection with an incident on June 11, 2021, according to charging documents in the case. The alleged victim was intoxicated or unconscious during the incident, according to the document.

Clark was arrested on Saturday around 12:15 p.m. by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, according to the jail booking log. He was released Monday around 1 p.m. on a $25,000 bond.

Clark has a bond appearance scheduled for April 19.

No other details were immediately available. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office declined to release Clark’s booking photo.
