2 injured in wreck on I-70 in Lawrence

Emergency crews respond to a wreck on I-70 just east of Lawrence on Monday, Jan. 3.
Story updated at 7 p.m. Monday:
Two people were injured in a single-vehicle wreck on U.S. Interstate 70 just east of a Lawrence exit on Monday afternoon.
Raul E. Dominguez, 38, of Topeka, and Allison Provancial, 44, of Lawrence, were both taken to LMH Health to be treated for serious injuries, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol crash log.
The wreck occurred around 2:15 p.m. about half a mile east of the 204 exit in North Lawrence. KHP reported that the vehicle that crashed was traveling east when it lost control and struck a metal guardrail.
Police and ambulances were seen responding to the wreck around 2:30 p.m., and at least one person was seen on a stretcher being placed in an ambulance.
