A Lawrence man was charged Friday in Douglas County District Court with multiple counts of sex crimes against a 7-year-old girl, according to court records.

The man, Jason Edward Dallinga, 41, is charged with four counts of aggravated indecent liberties with a child by engaging in lewd touching to satisfy a sexual desire, according to charging documents. The charges allege that the acts occurred between January and October of 2022.

Dallinga was arrested at around 7 p.m. Thursday in the 1300 block of Kentucky Street and is being held at the Douglas County Jail on a $250,000 cash or surety bond, according to the jail’s booking log. He is next scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 10, 2023.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office declined to release Dallinga’s booking photo.
