Police suspect driver who crashed into duplex was impaired

A car crashed into a duplex near 16th and Haskell on Tuesday night, Dec. 20, 2022.
A car hit a Lawrence duplex Tuesday night, leaving three families without power, according to the Lawrence Police Department.
Police are investigating the crash, which occurred just before 9 p.m. near 16th and Haskell. No serious injuries were reported.
The crash displaced the families. Duplex management placed two of the families in a hotel for the night, and the third was staying with friends. Officers suspect the driver was impaired, according to LPD.
