Police are looking for a suspect in a reported armed robbery at a Lawrence liquor store

Police are asking for the public’s help in connection with an alleged robbery on Monday at a central Lawrence liquor store.

In a social media post, the Lawrence Police Department said that around 6:40 p.m. Monday officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at Myers Liquor, 902 W. 23rd St. A store clerk told police that a man came into the business, displayed a firearm and demanded property from the clerk. The suspect then left the store heading west before police arrived, according to the post.

The department is asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident or saw anything suspicious in the area at that time to call dispatch at 785-832-7509.
