The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office has named David M. Koch, 55, and his 13-year-old daughter Hayden Koch as the two people found dead from gunshot wounds Monday morning.

According to a press release issued by the office around 6:45 p.m, after an initial investigation, authorities believe that Hayden Koch died from a gunshot wound and that David Koch died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The person who reported the incident was not injured.

“The Sheriff’s Office is with this family in this most horrific time of tragedy, and we hope for healing and peace as they work through what is the most painful time no family should have to endure,” said Sheriff Jay Armbrister in the release.
