3 Douglas County Sheriff’s Office vehicles vandalized

Three Douglas County Sheriff’s Office vehicles were vandalized with graffiti late last week.

The sheriff’s office said in a social media post that the vehicles were marked with graffiti overnight between Thursday and Friday while parked at the Judicial and Law Enforcement Center, 1199 New Hampshire St. Images the office shared of the incident showed vehicles with the word “pig” marked on doors and windows.

Officials for the office did not respond to the Journal-World’s request for more information Monday.

The office asked anyone with information about the incident to call Crime Stoppers, 785-843-8477, or the office’s nonemergency line, 785-843-0250.
