Topeka woman injured in I-70 crash
A Topeka woman was injured Saturday evening after hitting the rear of a semitrailer on Interstate 70 in Douglas County.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol online crash logs, Donnie Jo Myers, 62, of Topeka, was westbound on 1-70 in a 2007 Toyota Avalon about two miles east of the Shawnee County line at 9:45 p.m. when she made an evasive maneuver to the left and collided with the rear-end of a semitrailer driven by Richard Lynn Fagan, 54, of Kansas City, Missouri. The report does not state what Myers tried to avoid.
The Highway Patrol reports that Myers was taken to Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka with suspected serious injuries. Fagan suffered no apparent injuries from the crash.
