The Lawrence Police Department will conduct a DUI saturation patrol on Friday, according to a department news release.

The patrol is funded by a grant from the Kansas Department of Transportation, which will allow LPD to place extra officers throughout the city specifically to look for signs of impaired driving and traffic violations. LPD said in the release that the saturation patrol would take place throughout city limits.

“The Lawrence Police Department urges you to designate a sober driver and reminds you to buckle up, every trip, every time,” LPD said in the news release.
