Pedestrian hit by car in Lawrence suffers possibly life-threatening injuries
A pedestrian suffered injuries that were possibly life-threatening after being struck by a vehicle Wednesday, police say.
Lawrence police were dispatched to the intersection of Clinton Parkway and Lawrence Avenue at 10:12 a.m. Wednesday, Sgt. Amy Rhoads, public affairs officer, told the Journal-World via email Friday morning.
The pedestrian was attempting to cross the intersection when he or she was struck. The pedestrian was flown to an area hospital.
Rhoads said Friday morning that the investigation was still ongoing and no further information was available.
