Overland Park woman killed in car accident in eastern Douglas County, Kansas Highway Patrol report says

An Overland Park woman was killed in a car accident Monday afternoon in Douglas County, according to Kansas Highway Patrol records.

Deeva Sharma, 25, was in a Toyota Prius near the 438.6 milemarker on U.S. Highway 56, about 2.4 miles west of Edgerton, according to the crash report. The accident was still under investigation as of early Tuesday morning and the KHP report did not contain a narrative of what investigators believe happened.

The accident occurred around 4:40 p.m. Monday, according to the report. Sharma was wearing a seat belt but did not survive the accident, according to the report.

Tayler James Livingston, 26, of Paola, was reportedly driving a GMC Sierra that was involved in the crash. He suffered no apparent injuries, according to the report.
