A 48-year-old Lawrence man was arrested Friday on suspicion of aggravated indecent liberties with a child, Douglas County Jail records show.

The jail’s booking log indicates that the man’s arrest was on suspicion of an incident where the alleged offender is older than 18 and the victim is younger than 14.

The man was arrested at 1805 E. 19th St., which is the location of the Lawrence Humane Society, on a probable cause warrant at 2:56 p.m. Friday, Douglas County Jail records indicate. His home address is listed as a location nearby.

The man was released from custody at 4:47 p.m. Friday on $25,000 surety bond, according to the booking log.
