Man seriously injured in reported stabbing in Lawrence, police say

A man suffered serious injuries as the result of a reported stabbing Wednesday morning, Lawrence police say.

Just before 6 a.m. Wednesday, the Lawrence Police Department received a call about a possible stabbing in the intersection of 25th Street and Ridge Court, department spokesperson Patrick Compton said via email.

Officers found the injured man in the intersection, and he was taken to an area hospital, Compton said.

“Another male subject involved in the incident was detained, questioned, and released, pending the investigation’s outcome,” Compton said.
