Overlay project on U.S. Highway 40 near K-10 expected to cause traffic delays

The Kansas Department of Transportation is scheduled to begin an overlay project Monday on U.S. Highway 40 in Douglas County.

Work will occur between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. from mile marker 378.5 east to mile marker 379.5, ending at the stoplight at the Kansas Highway 10 and U.S. 40 intersection.

A flagging operation will take place Monday and Tuesday, and one lane of eastbound traffic will be closed Wednesday. Traffic delays of up to 15 minutes are expected.

The scheduled completion date is Wednesday, barring weather complications.
