A University of Kansas student has been arrested on suspicion of rape, according to online records.

A 19-year-old man with an address in Kansas City, Mo., was arrested Thursday at the KU Office of Public Safety in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred in January, according to the Douglas County Jail booking log.

KUPD Division Chief James Anguiano said a student reported on Tuesday that she was sexually assaulted by another student in Self Hall sometime between Jan. 28 and 29 of this year.

The man was being held in jail with no bond Thursday afternoon. He is currently listed as a KU student.

Charges had not been filed against him in Douglas County District Court as of Thursday, online court records indicate.
