Police investigate armed robbery in northwestern Lawrence

Lawrence police are investigating after a report of an armed robbery in northwestern Lawrence Thursday night.

At about 10:43 p.m. Thursday, police responded to the 5400 block of Rock Chalk Drive. Victims told officers that a man entered the residence with a handgun and demanded personal property, department spokesman Patrick Compton said via email Friday afternoon.

The victims said the man left the area in an unknown direction, Compton said. No one was injured in the incident.

Police are still investigating, and they ask that anyone with information to call the department at 785-832-7509 or provide a tip, which can be anonymous, to Crime Stoppers, 785-843-TIPS (8477).
