Man reportedly stabbed in altercation in Lawrence

A man was stabbed in an altercation Monday night near West Fourth Street and McDonald Drive, according to Lawrence police.

Police were dispatched to the hospital around 10:20 p.m. Monday. A man said he’d been involved in a physical altercation with two male suspects and one of the male suspects stabbed him with a knife, Sgt. Amy Rhoads, LPD public affairs officer, said via email Monday morning.

The man was treated for injuries that were not life-threatening, Rhoads said.

No arrests have been made in connection with the incident, Rhoads said.
