Lawrence man sentenced to more than 12 years in prison in child pornography case

KANSAS CITY, KAN. – A Lawrence man was sentenced Monday to more than 12 years in federal prison for distributing child pornography, U.S. Attorney Stephen McAllister said in a news release.

The man, Brian Fuchs, 49, pleaded guilty to one count of distributing child pornography. He admitted that investigators found about 2,000 images and 200 videos containing child pornography on his computer, according to the release.

In addition to the prison term, Fuchs was ordered to pay $20,000 in restitution and a $5,000 assessment to the Justice for Victims of Trafficking Act.
