Spectators of the Friday football game between the Kansas Jayhawks and the Missouri Tigers will enjoy a military flyover by the U.S. Air Force before kickoff.

Four T-38 Talons — or high-altitude supersonic jets — will fly a practice run over David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium on Thursday, followed by a Friday flyover minutes before the 7 p.m. start time, according to a University of Kansas press release.

The Border Showdown is the first time in more than two decades since the Tigers visited Lawrence.

The flyovers will be conducted by the 435th Fighter Training Squadron out of Randolph Air Force Base in Texas.
