A team of four supersonic jets from an U.S. Air Force base in Texas will fly over Lawrence on Friday and Saturday as part of pregame festivities for the University of Kansas’ Saturday morning football game against the University of Cincinnati.

KU officials announced that four T-38 Talons, a type of supersonic jet trainer, will fly over the stadium at about 11:30 a.m. on Friday as part of practice run for Saturday’s gameday flyover. The gameday flyover on Saturday is expected to occur at about 10:45 a.m., just before the scheduled 11 a.m. kickoff of the game.

The flyover will be conducted by members of the 435th Fighter Training Squadron out of San Antonio.
