KU ranks three online graduate programs in top 10 nationally; MBA program climbs to No. 7

Three online graduate programs have received national top 10 rankings in a U.S. News & World Report released Monday.

KU’s online master’s in special education, its online MBA program, and its online master’s in education administration programs all were ranked in the top 10 in the publication’s 2025 Best Online Programs edition.

KU’s special education master’s ranked only behind the University of Florida. KU’s degree was the only one ranked in the top 10 from Kansas or any of the neighboring states, plus Iowa and Arkansas. Kansas State’s online program was next highest at No. 14.

KU’s online masters in business administration degree tied for seventh in the country. That is a two-spot improvement over the 2024 rankings, KU officials said in a press release. This is the third consecutive year that KU has had its online MBA program ranked in the top 10 nationally. KU’s degree was the only one ranked in the top 10 from Kansas or any of the neighboring states, plus Iowa and Arkansas. Oklahoma State’s MBA program ranked tied for 11th.
