Lawrence musician Nick Carswell will host a new radio program "105 Live" on Kansas Public Radio.

Kansas Public Radio is on a quest to find musicians from every county in Kansas for a new radio program that will debut next month.

KPR, which is based at the University of Kansas, is looking for contemporary musicians from all 105 Kansas counties for a new program called “105 Live.” Producers for the new program will select performers or bands from each county, and invite them to KPR’s studios for a live performance and interview.

The program — hosted by Lawrence musician Nick Carswell — is currently seeking submissions from musicians across the state. Performers or bands who would like to be considered for the program can email their interest to kansas105live@gmail.com.

The new “105 Live” program will launch at 5 p.m. on Oct. 5 on all Kansas Public Radio stations, which locally can be found at 91.5 FM.
