Top officials connected to both Presidents Biden and Trump, as well as several leading national political journalists, will be in Lawrence next week to dissect the 2024 presidential election.

The Dole Institute of Politics will host its 2024 Post Election Conference at 2 p.m. on Dec. 11 at the institute’s center on the West Campus of the University of Kansas.

The institute has announced an eight-person panel that includes Anita Dunn, a former senior advisor to President Joe Biden, and Alex Latcham, a longtime Trump campaign leader who recently was tapped to serve as deputy assistant to President-elect Trump.

Other panelists include:

• Molly Ball, senior political correspondent for The Wall Street Journal;

• Brendan Buck, partner at Seven Letter and former adviser to Speakers Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) and John Boehner (R-Ohio);

• Francesca Chambers, White House correspondent for USA Today;

• Jonathan Martin, politics bureau chief and senior political columnist at Politico;

• Molly Murphy, president of Impact Research;

• Chuck Todd, chief political analyst for NBC News.

The national panel will be co-moderated by Jerry Seib, former Washington executive editor of The Wall Street Journal, and Bill Lacy, Dole Institute director emeritus.

“The 2024 election will go down in history as one of the least predictable, most consequential of our time, and historians will be examining how it all happened for years to come,” said Seib, Dole Institute Visiting Fellow. “At this conference, we will have an early chance to tell that story with a distinguished panel of participants and observers.”

In addition to in-person viewing at the institute, the program will be streamed lived on the institute’s website and YouTube channel.
