The Dole Institute at the University of Kansas will host an Easter celebration, “Roll with Dole,” later this month featuring eggs, games, live bunnies and more.
The event, inspired by the White House Easter Egg Roll, is slated for April 8 at the institute, 2350 Petefish Drive.
Families are invited to participate in a variety of free activities, including the egg roll, which is a race for children to push an egg (hard-boiled or wooden) through the grass with a long-handled spoon; an egg hunt, games, crafts, stories, live bunnies and an Easter-themed photo area. All children will receive a special gift when departing the event, including candy from the egg hunt.
The event begins at 10 a.m., and the last egg hunt will be at 12:30 p.m. For more information, see the Dole Institute’s website.
