Theatre Lawrence, 4660 Bauer Farm Drive

The work of area playwrights will be featured next month at Theatre Lawrence in an event called New Works Night.

The production company Bicycle Face is partnering with Theatre Lawrence for an evening of fully staged short plays and monologues all written, directed and acted by local talent. The event will run two nights, Oct. 3 and Oct 4, at Theatre Lawrence, 4660 Bauer Farm Drive. Tickets, from $12 to $15, are available through the box office or online at theatrelawrence.com.

All playwrights and directors for New Works Night identify as women or represent the LQBTQ+ community, according to Amber Dickinson, who runs Bicycle Face, a nonprofit dedicated to highlighting women’s stories and creative teams.
