The Haskell Foundation will be hosting a fundraising dinner next month to support the university’s athletics, including scholarships, athletic equipment, travel and wellness programs.
According to a news release from the foundation, the dinner is scheduled for 6 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 16, at the University of Kansas Memorial Union Ballroom, 1301 Jayhawk Blvd. It will feature a dinner prepared by chef Jason Champagne, cultural performances, student-athlete presentations and a silent auction. Attendees will also receive a complimentary ticket to the women’s basketball game between Haskell and KU, which is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17, at Allen Fieldhouse.
Tickets for the fundraiser are $100 per person and can be purchased at haskellfoundation.org. The fundraising goal for the evening is $50,000.
“Our student-athletes carry forward a proud legacy of strength, perseverance, and community,” Kasey Flynt, development director of the Haskell Foundation, said in the release. “This event is an opportunity for supporters, alumni, and community allies to come together in celebration and ensure these students have the resources they need to succeed on and off the field.”
