Volunteers needed for annual LINK Thanksgiving Dinner

Volunteers help prepare meals for the 2024 LINK Thanksgiving Dinner.
Volunteers are needed for the annual LINK Thanksgiving Dinner, which is a free holiday meal for community members.
The meal will be served from 1 to 2:30 p.m. on Nov. 27 at the LINK meal site in the lower level of the First Christian Church, 1000 Kentucky St. Meals will also be delivered on that day.
Organizers said volunteers would be needed as follows:
• Nov. 26, from 3 to 6 p.m., to receive donated food at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 6001 Bob Billings Parkway, and to begin assembling meals for home delivery.
• Nov. 27, from 10 a.m. to noon, at Corpus Christi to pack home-delivered meals and clean up the prep area.
• Nov. 27, starting at 11:15 a.m., at Corpus Christi to deliver meals.
• Nov. 27, from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m., to set up, serve and clean up the meal at the LINK meal site.

Requests for home deliveries must be made through a service-providing agency. These agencies will submit their lists on Nov. 24.
