The Douglas County Democrats’ Annual Pie Auction will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday in the Flory Building at the Douglas County Fairgrounds, 2120 Harper St.

Cindy Holscher, Democratic candidate for Kansas governor, will speak with voters at the event. Other potential statewide candidates Chris Mann and Christy Davis, as well as city and school board candidates within Douglas County, will speak and share information.

The silent auction will feature special artisan pies. Individual pie slices will be available for a $5 donation each. There is no admission charge, and drinks are free.

Proceeds from the auction will go toward hiring staff, according to a news release from Douglas County Democrats.
