Crews clear the sidewalks on Massachusetts Street amid a winter storm Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2025.

• Lawrence Public Schools will be closed Wednesday. All activities are canceled and district buildings and parking lots will be closed.

• The University of Kansas has canceled all classes — in person and online — for the Lawrence, Edwards and Leavenworth campuses Wednesday, February 19, due to winter weather.

• The Community Police Review Board meeting is canceled.

• Perry Lecompton Schools will be closed on Wednesday and Thursday, with no activities either evening.

• McLouth schools will be closed Wednesday, with no activities.

• All Lawrence bus service will be canceled on Wednesday, and there will be no overnight On Demand service. Fixed-route and paratransit services will be canceled on Thursday, and On Demand will begin at 8 p.m. that day. Service is planned to resume as usual on Friday.

• Lawrence Meals on Wheels will not be delivering meals on Wednesday.

• The Senior Resource Center for Douglas County, including Senior Wheels, will be closed on Wednesday.
