The Downtown Lawrence Farmers Market will open for the season on April 12.

The market will run every Saturday into late autumn from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at 824 New Hampshire St.

More than 50 local vendors will be on hand for opening day. This season will bring at least five new vendors in addition to returning vendors, according to a news release from organizers.

The market’s new website has an interactive map that can be searched by date, vendor and product to see who and what will be at the market each week https://www.lawrencefarmersmarket.org/market-map.

Since 1976, the Lawrence Farmers Market has brought the community local produce, meats, eggs, baked goods, fresh flowers and more. The market also hosts a wide range of activities and programs, including:

• weekly seasonal foods scavenger hunts for kids.

• token programs for debit, credit and SNAP-EBT cards.

• live music.

• community booths.

• a loyalty card program for repeat customers.
