At Pooch Plunge next week, dogs will have the run of Lawrence’s public pool

Lawrence’s annual Pooch Plunge is scheduled for Tuesday at the Outdoor Aquatic Center.
From 4 to 7 p.m., dogs will be allowed to swim in the city’s public pool. The event costs $5 per dog, and owners can pay at the gate at 727 Kentucky St. Pre-registration is not required.
Last year, the event was canceled due to extreme heat, but Tuesday’s high is expected to be around 80 degrees.
