Just Food announced Tuesday that its food production operation in downtown Lawrence will be temporarily suspended due to a fire.

The incident — reportedly related to an oven fire — occurred shortly before 12:15 p.m. Tuesday at Just Food’s Chop Shop in the 800 block of Vermont Street, which provides ready-to-eat meals.

“Our team & volunteers are safe, but this incident will impact our ability to serve the community in the coming days,” Just Food Executive Director Aundrea Walker said in a social media post.
