Douglas County Democratic Party to host activist panel on LGBTQ+ issues

The Douglas County Democratic Party will host a program focused on LGBTQ+ issues Saturday in Lawrence.

The program, titled “Existence and Resistance,” will feature a panel of activists who will discuss issues affecting the LGBTQ+ community and ways that allies can help defend human rights. The panel will include Jae Moyer, Adam Kellogg, Donnavan Dillon and Brynn Fitzsimmons, according to a news release from the Douglas County Democratic Party.

The program, which is open to the public, will be at 10 a.m. in the Lawrence Arts Center Auditorium, 940 New Hampshire St.

Attendees will be encouraged to join those walking down to South Park for Juneteenth festivities following the panel.
