PHOTOS: Cattle, chickens, goats and more at the Douglas County Fair

Blake Hanna, 15, a Palmyra 4-H Club member, air-drys his steer in the indoor livestock barn on Tuesday, July 25 at the Douglas County Fair. Hanna is entering three cattle in the fair and says he will wash them daily, which can take over an hour for each.

The Douglas County Fair continued on Tuesday with a variety of animal shows, including a poultry show where a chicken flew the coop. Fair events continue through this weekend, including the popular demolition derby on Friday and Saturday; see dgcountyfair.com for a full schedule of events.
