Lawrence area could be in for snow tonight and tomorrow

The Lawrence area could be in for a few inches of snow tonight and tomorrow, according to the National Weather Service.

There’s a chance of rain and snow before 9 tonight, then snow after that, as temperatures dip below freezing to 28. The chance of precipitation is 90% overnight, the NWS said, with snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.

On Wednesday, snow is again likely, mainly before 7 a.m., with the possible accumulation of less than half an inch. Wind gusts could get as high as 25 mph.
