About 900 runners participated in the Lawrence Turkey Trot 5K on Thanksgiving morning. The race started at Woodlawn Elementary and wound its way through the North Lawrence neighborhood and along the Kansas River levee trail.

Katie Durbin came in costume to the Lawrence Turkey Trot 5K on Nov. 24, 2022. Durbin and her friend Jackie Burns came from the Kansas City, Kan. area to participate in the North Lawrence race.
