PHOTOS: Jet ski racers produce flips and finishes at Clinton Lake event

During a break in the racing, freestyle jet ski riders put on a show of flips and other tricks for the fans at Clinton Lake on Sunday, July 17, 2022.

Upwards of 100 racers competed at the Clinton Lake stop on the Jettribe Mid-America Watercross Championship series on Sunday. Sunday was the final day of the two day event, which drew a crowd to the shores near Boat Ramp No. 1 in the Clinton State Park, just outside of Lawrence. The event featured a mix of amateur and professional races, and also included a freestyle aerial exhibition by a pair of jet ski performers.
