Delivery of Saturday Journal-World to be delayed as printing plant experiences mechanical difficulties
Journal-World subscribers should expect delivery of their Saturday newspapers to be delayed by one to two hours due to mechanical problems experienced by the newspaper’s printing vendor.
The St. Joseph, Mo.-based plant that prints the Journal-World experienced a major breakdown Saturday morning while printing the Journal-World. The mechanical problem is expected to delay the arrival of the newspapers in Lawrence by up to two hours, thus delaying when carriers can deliver the newspapers to subscribers.
“We apologize for the delay in delivery,” Journal-World Editor and Publisher Chad Lawhorn said. “Our crews will work hard to deliver papers as soon as possible.”
