Laird Noller Ford plans to give away hundreds of brand new coats next month.

As temperatures turn colder, a local car dealership plans to provide free coats and other winter wear to the community.

Laird Noller Ford in Lawrence and Topeka will host its second annual Drive out the Cold coat giveaway the first week of November.

“Laird Noller saw a need in our community and decided to do something to help,” the company said in a news release.

The company has purchased 250 brand new coats to give to those in need. The coats come in all sizes, ranging from kids size 2T to adult size 3XL. Hats and gloves will be available along with the coats, while supplies last.

People interested in obtaining the free winter wear need only stop by the Ford showrooms starting Nov. 1. In Lawrence, the address is 935 W. 23rd St.; in Topeka, it’s 2245 SW Topeka Blvd.
