KU Volleyball Associate Head Coach Laura Kuhn sorts through a pile of coats Monday, Nov. 30, 2015, while volunteering at the I-70 Business Center for the annual Share the Warmth coat drive, sponsored by The Salvation Army of Douglas County and Scotch Fabric Care Services.

As winter nears, Scotch Fabric Care Services is collecting coats for its yearly giveaway.

Scotch is partnering with The Salvation Army Wednesday through Nov. 20 to collect coats for its 35th annual Share the Warmth program.

Anyone wishing to donate coats in good condition can drop them off at any Scotch location. Scotch cleans the coats and works with The Salvation Army to distribute them for free to those in need. The company noted in a news release that there is always a need for children’s coats and larger adult sizes. Blankets will also be accepted.

The coats will be given away in December; additional information regarding distribution will be released at a later date.

Since the program’s inception in 1986, Scotch has collected and cleaned 275,369 coats in Topeka and Lawrence, according to the release.

Starting at $4.45/week.
