Journal-World announces change in printing schedule for Christmas Day, New Year’s Day

The Journal-World will temporarily change its printing schedule in response to the Christmas and New Year’s Day holidays.

The Journal-World will not publish print editions of the Journal-World on Christmas Day, Dec. 25, and New Year’s Day, Jan. 1.

Chad Lawhorn, Journal-World editor and publisher, said the decision to not print papers on those two holidays was made after consulting with the Journal-World’s private printing partner, and due to a desire to provide holiday time off to several staff members and contractors.

Breaking news coverage will continue to be provided on LJWorld.com during the two holidays, and the Journal-World will return to its normal printing schedule on Dec. 26 and Jan. 2. The comics sections and other such features that normally would appear in the Dec. 25 and Jan. 1 editions will run in the Dec. 24 and Dec. 31 editions, respectively.

Subscribers to the Journal-World will have their accounts extended by two days to compensate for the reduced printing schedule.
