After temporarily suspending services in mid-March, Lawrence Meals on Wheels is back delivering food to those with specialized diets, albeit on a partial basis.

Executive Director Kim Culliss said the nonprofit brought back its services on April 24. They are currently delivering two meals a day to clients on Tuesdays and Fridays. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, the nonprofit delivered one meal five days a week to its 130 clients.

Culliss said that those delivering meals were taking precautions, such as stepping back after knocking on clients’ doors, and that services have been running smoothly thus far. The nonprofit will reevaluate at the end of May to see if it will be able to return to delivering food five days a week, Culliss said.
